And they're making a trip back to Nashville they hoped to avoid. On the bright side, when it was 3-1 in the 3rd for San Jose tonight, I figured they'd be resting and waiting for the winner of the Van-Preds series. Not to be, and I'm glad that series is going back to Detroit.
Still, some brain farts by d-men last night weren't helpful. Maybe Edler couldn't have avoided being the pinball bumper that pucked got bounced in off for that flukey tying goal. But Hamhuis was lucky later on when he almost whacked it into his own net that Lou was paying attention.
On the winning goal (I think) it was Bieksa's far too hard bounce off the boards in his own end, rather than a simpler clear up the boards, that set up the Preds.
Hopefully next game will be better. In the meantime, let's join a Buffalo writer for a few laughs at the Flyers' expense.
